for fall 2012 we saw the resurgence of the cape, particularly with phillip lim’s sweater options. i have to say i’m kind of digging the modern cape – not so victorian as i have in my head (which admitedly is because i had the samantha doll growing up, who of course was victorian and had a cape).

the shapes are more modern with sharper edges, awesome colors, embellishments and all around great fabric for winter. PLUS it’s a great must-have for anyone – any shape, any size. depending on the cut, it can be incredibly flattering.
