Hi friends! What a week it's been. I missed keeping up with y'all! I appreciate all the kind comments, emails, texts, FB and twitter messages while I was away. If I owe you an email, text or tweet, please know I haven't forgotten about you! I'm working my way around to a reply. I hope you enjoyed meeting the guest bloggers last week. Aren't they awesome? Thanks again, ladies. It was my pleasure to have you here on Social Sara. :)

As most of you know, my mom and I attended a wedding last weekend in the Hamptons. We had such a blast, before Sandy came and crashed our party. Here's a recap of the first half of our trip, our time in the Hamptons. Get ready...there are a ton of pics! :)

We arrived on Thursday and stayed at the most delightful B&B in Southampton. Chris and Kim Allen, Innkeepers at A Butler's Manor, are two of the most wonderful people you will ever meet. We felt right at home! They went above and beyond in every way and our stay could not have been more enjoyable. If you have an opportunity to visit the Hamptons, please check out A Butler's Manor. You will not be disappointed! Here are some photos I took during our stay. Isn't it just darling?

 The Living Room

 Everything was decorated so nicely!

Dining room where we had a delicious breakfast each morning with the other guests.
So fun meeting new folks!

 I love this mantle!

A close up of the mantle. So much inspiration here!

Such a pretty historical home!

Our lunch on Thursday at Le Chef, a local favorite. We both had the crab and lobster salad.
There are no words for how delicious this salad was!

Thursday evening, we had dinner at The American Hotel in Sag Harbor. We heard so many great things about the restaurant at the hotel, we just had to give it a shot. Mom and I both had the organic chicken dish. It was delicious!

Up close and personal with my chicken dish. It was so savory and fresh!

Following dinner, we stopped in at Bobby Van's (one of my faves...The Husband took me to Bobby Van's in DC right after he proposed) for after dinner drinks with the wedding party. Good times!

Friday we spent some time shopping the resale shops, dining at a local favorite and checking out the beach. Just as I imagined, the homes in the Hamptons are absolutely gorgeous! We even spotted Calvin Klein's home, currently under construction. I have to say, it was disappointing...not pretty at all!

It's so pretty here. The pictures don't do it justice.

One of many beautiful homes on the beach.

And another...

Cooper's Beach. Rated #1 beach in America. It definitely lives up to it's designation!

Calvin Klein's home. You can't really tell in this pic but it's a dark black color that looks
completely out of place in Southampton. Swing and a miss, CK.

The wedding was at the Bridgehampton Community House on Friday evening and it was absolutely beautiful! With a farmhouse theme, this wedding was quintessential autumn. Here are some pictures from a perfect evening.

The ceremony

The floral arrangements were full of brilliant fall colors!

Farmhouse table centerpieces. Simplistic and elegant!

Bride and Groom's first dance. The Bride's nephew sang the first dance song. So sweet!
He's the next Michael Buble...you watch!

The band was AWESOME! We danced all night. They never took a break!

Yours Truly! I wore {this dress}.
Remember me telling you on instagram about a certain delivery
that arrived a few weeks ago? This dress is what was in the box!

My beautiful mother and me. My mom was stunning!

My hair after a long night of dancing. I meant to get a picture before we left for the wedding but I was so excited, I totally forgot! These fun bobbies were gold flowers with a little pearl in the center. I can't wait to wear them again!

Saturday morning following a delicious breakfast at the B&B, we hit the road to Montauk. We had to see "The End!" The drive out to Montauk was gorgeous and like nothing I have ever seen. On one side of the road, you will see vineyards and a winery, while on the other you will see a corn field with the big, blue Atlantic Ocean behind it. My mom and I were downright mesmerized and had to keep reminding ourselves that the winters in this part of the country are far too harsh for us southern gals. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day to visit Montauk. Take a look at some of the pics...

A beautiful tree we spotted on the way to Montauk

Boats on the Atlantic...view from The End of Montauk Highway.

Love her so much! We travel so well together...I'm guessing it's because we are exactly alike!
It was so windy but we could have spent all day here.

 Self Portrait!

The Lighthouse at Montauk. Such a pretty sight!

After a lovely day in the Hamptons and Montauk, we made our way into NYC for what we thought would be two fabulous nights in the city. But...we all know what happened...Sandy. Uggghhh.
I'll stop at that for now.

I hope you enjoyed my recap and the numerous pictures.
Here's wishing you a fantastic Monday!
