My husband and I went out to breakfast at the Silver Diner last weekend. Anyone else ever been there? It’s like IHOP, but a little nicer, and the food is made with locally grown products. Everything I’ve had from their breakfast menu, especially the french toast, has been delicious. They make awesome old-fashioned milkshakes, too.

For some additional polish to this look, I wore peep-toe booties and a few gold accessories. I’ve had these booties on my Nordstrom wish list since last fall and was ecstatic to nab them during their women’s half-yearly sale–they were definitely worth the wait! I’ve learned over the years that nearly all retail, even high-end, eventually goes on sale, so I usually try to hold out for a lower price. After that, it’s just a matter of grabbing the items before they sell out!
