On Sunday, August 5th, San Francisco hosted the 8th Annual Fashion on The Square 2012 Fashion Show in the trendy SOMA district at the luxurious Intercontinental Hotel. The fabulous fashion elite of all talents, including socialites, industry professionals – buyers, stylists, fashion bloggers, and other fashion media, all flocked to witness the highly anticipated arrival of the new Joseph Domingo Couture Collection.

Benefitting The San Francisco Arts Commission and Inner City Youth Sports, Fashion on the Square Fashion 2012 Fashion Show even welcomed the mayor’s office secretary of state, who arrived in style with a Louis Vuitton purse, to honor Joseph Domingo, Designer of the Year Award recipient, so as to commend him for his tribute to society through his fashion and through his charity fundraisers.

Joseph Domingo is the go-to designer for exclusive red carpet Hollywood looks. His exquisite gowns appear on some of the most high-profile celebrities including singer songwriter Shakira as well as actresses Rebecca Romijn and Rosalyn Sanchez. As such, we knew we were in for a spectacular show.

This year, FOTS 2012 succeeded in their mission to raise money for worthy beneficiaries by presenting new fall collections from some of the best local and global fashion brands, including Dark Garden, Banana Republic, Old Navy, DSW, SFSU designers, Charmosa Swimwear, Keneuoe, Randy Rowand, and, of course, Joseph Domingo. The Ritz-Carlton, The Donatello Hotel, Jewelry by Corinthia Peoples, Macy’s, and the 4 Seasons Hotel also helped achieve this goal of raising funds for the selected estimable charities with their generous donations. Generous and glamorous sponsors Smart Water, M Magazine, 7×7 Magazine, Glass House Public Relations, 510 Media, The Examiner Newspaper, HMM Models, and the Intercontinental Hotel also assisted in making this show and its objective a success.

FOTS was majestically orchestrated from start to finish with outstanding performances by “The String Quartet” who featured an elegantly choreographed segment to welcome Dark Garden corsetry onto the runway.

It was truly a magical evening which captivated various elements of performing arts blended with fashion, music, and diversity. Attending FOTS 2012 was like taking a trip to Beverly Hills for the Golden Globes as all the attendees were glammed up in gorgeous red carpet gowns and the seating arrangements were organized in a very exclusive manner as an entire section was reserved strictly for VIPs and paparazzi. VIP Socialite was honored and esteemed to be seated in the VIP press section. Our designated photographer, Herm Pugay and VIP Assistant, Miss K, represented VIP Socialite with their attendance.

Our team enjoyed the breathtaking performances that melodically meshed together with beautiful Couture pieces delicately adorned over 50 gorgeous models.

The ultra-glamourous and fashion forward stylings of Joseph Domingo and the other marvelous designers need to be displayed on a canvas just as chic as the art itself. As such, The Intercontinental Hotel was the perfect venue with its modern-inspired, ultra chic atmosphere. Guests were treated with such hospitality and given complimentary swag bags that included samples from pop chips, smart water, and Izzy & Co. coupons upon entering the lavish hotel. With its luxurious ambiance, it’s no wonder why President Obama prefers to stay at this beautiful venue whenever he’s in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area. Only the best for the 8th Annual Fashion on the Square 2012 Fashion Show. Bravo Joseph Domingo!

Fashionably yours,
