I try my best to take my outfit shots at times of day when there aren't many people on the street. 10:45-11:00 is pretty good, and 2:45-3:00 is also fairly quiet. For some reason, the block was super hot last Thursday, and I couldn't take any shots without someone walking by. One guy asked me (from across the street, no less) if he could have one of my pictures. SUPER AWKWARD.
