Ok… so, technically, I did take a little bit of advantage of the post-Christmas sales, but in this case, I couldn’t help it.
Most of my basic coats are pretty old (you can see them here, here and here) and although the French Connection ones are still in great condition, I needed to replace my brown colored one.
During my visit to Chicago in November, I had an appointment at BCBG, and this gorgeous coat, the Fayette, was among the things I tried on. I fell in love with it instantly, but surprisingly resisted the urge and left without buying it. A couple of weeks ago I received a call from the Chicago store, letting me know that my beloved coat had gone on sale. When trying to economize, not buying full price is one thing, but once that item is on sale, it’s wrong not to give in! ![]()
And here I am, with a gorgeous new coat to replace my old one! It isn’t brown, but it will still work perfectly with any earth-toned colors this season. I absolutely love the military details mixed with the feminine ruffles, and despite not being very bulky, it has been keeping me warm in the suddenly frigid Philadelphia temperatures.
Happy Saturday!
