Being an (unnaturally) fair-haired lady poses many challenges beyond the toll it can take on your bank account. While I may still be a "natural" blonde according to my heart and hairstylist, my much darker roots leave much to be desired in comparison to my early years. Having actively pursued the perfect shade of blonde for over four years, I've learned that it's not only near impossible to achieve but also has a significant impact on the health of your mane. The regular application of harsh chemicals every five weeks, in combination with frequent subjection to the overpowering heat of a dryer and flat iron, has resulted in quite a bit of breakage to my already dry and damaged hair. Over the last few months, I've been experimenting with products to restore strength and moisture and can confidently say I've witnessed quite a high level of success - healthier looking, faster growing hair - as a result of a mixture between the following products:

  • KMS California Colorvitality Blonde Shampoo (use for control of brassy tones as needed)
  • Fekkai Essential Shea Conditioner (use as a regular conditioning treatment)
  • Fekkai Shea Ultra Rich Mask (use once a week or as needed)
  • Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave-In Conditioner (post-wash for days you plan on going au naturel)
  • Moroccan Oil Light (post-wash on damp, unstyled hair or post-style to add a silky texture and provide strength against the damaging properties of styling tools)
