Dress: Old Navy - Similar Here, Here, and Here / Jacket: Forever 21 (Old) - Similar Here and Here / Scarf: J Crew - Similar Here, Here, and Here / Tights: Hue - Similar Here / Boots: Aldo (on sale) / Lipstick: Mac Impassioned

When I purchased this dress back in early October, I had a specific plan in mind. I intended to wear it before the weather got too cold so I could pair it with these boots - sans tights, and a denim vest like this. But before I knew it we were knee deep in "layer up" weather and just the thought of going out bare-legged made me want to go stand in front a blazing heater vent. So this dress just hung in my closet while I tried to get inspired enough to wear it - I really had my heart set on the other outfit!

It definitely wasn't inspiration that finally brought this dress out of the closet, no it was more just being fed up that I continued to put off wearing it. So last week I forced myself to put it on. I ended up choosing  a patterned pair of tights nylons - eww I really don't like that word, I would rather call them tights, but are they thick enough to be called tights? And the other alternative; panty hose, I like that even less than nylons. Sorry for the off-track moment, I have an aversion to certain words and can hardly stand it if I'm forced to use them - I know I'm a total quirk-ball, but I have come to terms with this......So I added  patterned tights and my trusty leopard scarf. For an extra-layer I went with my knit moto jacket - also seen here, and finished the look with my double-buckle short boots. The final product did not resemble in any way, my initial vision. But I think in the end, it turned out ok. And the dress is super comfy - it's sold out online though I did provide some close options. But if you happen to come across it at your local Old Navy, it's a good buy.

Alright friends, hope you are all having a good Monday.
