A few weekends ago, Chad and I headed out to Queens with two friends to see the closed TWA Flight Center at JFK Airport. The terminal, designed by architect and designer Eero Saarinen, has been closed to the public since 2005 and was open for a special tour during the Open House New York event.

The terminal was designed to appear like a bird's wings preparing to land, and the interior is a luxe 60s dreamscape. With bold features and pops of punchy red, this terminal is absolutely stunning. You may remember the tunnels from the film Catch Me If You Can.

There are rumors that the space will be eventually transformed into a hotel, but for now, the terminal is closed.
