I am so excited to share with you today a style challenge that I am participating in with a handful of other bloggers for RetailMeNot. If you aren't familiar with their site, they have a daily list of printable coupons & codes for thousands of retailers & online sites. For those of you who check my Sales Alerts tab frequently, you know how I love to keep up on those deals!
They graciously gave us $100 each to spend towards creating a winter outfit that exemplifies our own personal style. We were asked to use the coupons on their site and then go shopping to put together a complete look. It took a little bit of hard work to find the best deals on the things I wanted, but using their site as a guide for sales was a HUGE help because I was able to make my money go further.
I decided to stick with classic pieces that are wardrobe staples & would be easy to mix and match with items I already have in my closet. Here is a snapshot of what I purchased & a break-down of the savings I scored using RetailMeNot coupons:
1) Apt. 9 Angora Sweater - original price: $60.00; on sale for $36.00; paid $25.20 (using Kohl's 30% off coupon)
2) Gap Slim Cropped Pants - original price: $49.95; on sale for $19.99; paid $13.99 (using Gap 30% off coupon)
3) Old Navy Wool Coat - original price: $54.94; on sale for $27.47; paid $21.98 (using Old Navy 20% off coupon)
4) Chinese Laundry Pumps - original price: $99.00; on sale for $34.65; paid $29.45 (using Macy's 15% off coupon)
Grand Total = $90.62
