As I look back in the year 2012, I am reminded of the fashion staples I became obsessed with throughout the year (and will continue to love in the years to come!). The list here are the absolute workhorse basics of my wardrobe, whether it was summer, spring, or fall:

The Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote in Saffiano Leather. I favored this tote over the Louis Vuitton Neverfull Bag, which I found too trendy. This MK tote, however, is made in the same scratch-resistant material as the Prada Lux Tote. I use mine whenever I need to give my Tumi Q a rest.

My must-have jewelry is a watch. And this year I decided to stop wearing the trendy fashion watches and go back to the elegant and timeless beauty of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust. Although I do have the ladies’ version (a highschool graduation gift from my parents), I favor the 36mm mens’ edition that my husband surprised me this year.

I never take off my Tiffany Bean, but this year I could not help but be drawn to the versatility and elegance of the Stella & Dot layering necklaces. Wear one for simplicity, add two to make a unique look, and layer some more and you have a statement piece! The ones below are my absolute favorites!

One fashion craze I could not help but pander to are the wrist parties! And I love pairing them with my Datejust. Here are some baubles from Stella & Dot that have embellished my wrists morning, noon, and night!

Cover Girl’s Lash Blast Mascara collection made me unfaithful to Maybelline’s Great Lash. It is ABSOLUTELY fantastic! No clumps. No globs. No smears. And it stays all day long (waterproof version is better!)! It also fortified my reason to never ever, under any circumstance (even weddings!), wear any false eyelashes…not when this product gives you the volume and fullness you like.

Although I am a shoe fiend, there are basics that I always go to. And the are as follows: Nine West’s suede booties, Me Too ballerina flats, Kenneth Cole platform heels, and Tory Burch T sandals.
