Today I announced my favorite pieces form Prabal Gurung's collection for Target on Poshy Magazine. Check out my article here:

The Nepalese-American designer lends his innovative eye to a new Target line, in stores Feb. 10th. Target is partnering with Prabal Gurung, a widely celebrated designer to introduce a limited-edition collection of affordable women’s apparel and accessories, including handbags, shoes and jewelry.

My favorite look is “Look 01” in the official Prabal Gurung for Target LookBook. This outfit is stunning with a vibrant floral pattern on this sleeveless blouse, which is a signature Gurung look . The blouse perfectly accents the lace-bottomed yellow skirt. The black and white wedge sandals help elevate a fun daytime look into a sleek getup for a night out. The colors are spot on for trends and the fit looks like it could be flattering on a variety of figures. PrabalforTarget1

Look 01: Prabal Gurung for TARGET

So where did Prabal Gurung come from? Gurung has developed a strong base of fans, from Hollywood’s most-acclaimed to Great Britain’s royalty and beyond. In 2010 Gurung was the recipient of the Ecco Domani Fashion Fund Award and selected as runner up for the 2010 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. In 2011, he was honored as one of USA Network’s Character Approved Award recipients, named goodwill ambassador of Maiti Nepal, a finalist of the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award and was the recipient of the 2011 CFDA Swarovski Award for womenswear. In addition to his upcoming collaboration with Target, Gurung created two pieces- an elegant wool cape and bow-clad clutch- for the much- anticipated Target + Neiman Marcus Holiday Collection, which launched Dec. 1, 2012.

Target says that the “Prabal Gurung for Target was inspired by a tender love story, offering women’s apparel and accessories suitable for all occasions from the initial crush to the first kiss, to everlasting love. Ranging in price from $19.99 to $199.99 for apparel and $12.99 to $39.99 for accessories and shoes.”

To shop this collection visit Target.com or one of their stores from Feb. 10th, until pieces sell out. I suggest shopping at midnight on Feb. 10th online or as early as possible in stores, as this collection will sell out quickly.
