img_9921.jpg?w=560&h=373Last month I took it upon myself to finally finish my closet for once and for all and this is what became of it and I love it! img_9981.jpg?w=1000&h=&crop=1I remember I used to be wracking my brain trying to figure out the cheapest closet system I could find that would actually fit all my things. Little did I know that a trip to Home Depot and a few pick-ups from IKEA would give me my dream closet for under $250! Not too bad if you asked me!img_9936.jpgMy first task was setting the mood. Last January I cleared this spare bedroom we had in the house, painted it, and added in this IKEA chandelier for $39.99 (here).img_9945.jpg?w=560&h=840Then came finding the perfect bookcase to house and display my shoes! I found this super sturdy adjustable bookcase from Target for $109. img_99201.jpg?w=560&h=373After that I added additional hanging space to the room. The room itself already had it's own build it in closet which I used to hide away my folded clothes. The hanging rods would be used for clothes I wear often, or would like to display. Of course I had to arrange everything in a rainbow form, the same way I've been doing for over 10 years. This hanging system cost me less than $30 at Home Depot!img_9946.jpgAnd lastly a $19.99 IKEA shelf to hold my purses. img_9921.jpg?w=560&h=373I hope you all enjoyed a tour of my closet and I hope it inspires you to DIY your own dream closet. It took some research and some elbow grease, but the process was really fun for me! And now that it's done, I can't help but smile every time I walk into this room. Good luck!
