Everyone's buzzing about who's going to wear what, and who's going to take home a statue on Sunday February 24th. The 85th annual Academy Awards will be honoring the best films and actors of 2012.

I have some favorites, but they're based on personal taste, not box office or stars. I was hoping that Kiera Knightley and Jude Law would get something for Anna Karenina, and Joe Wright's beautifully realized artistic vision should have gotten him a Director nod, but these things happen.

Les Miserables did well, with nominations for Hugh jackman and Anne Hathaway. Beasts of the Southern Wild was honored for Best Picture, and Best Director, as well as Best Actress for little Quvenzhane Wallis.
