During my London trip, I mainly stayed in the city epicenter as there's simply too much to see and not enough time. However, I did manage to make it out to Notting Hill to check out Portobello Market, an expansive outdoor marketplace devoted to showcasing charming one of a kind EVERYTHING. The market is located right in the heart of the quaint residential area that's as pretty as it looks in the movies.
For a casual but put together look, maxi dresses are always my first choice. I'm wearing a tie dye maxi dress from c/o LAMade for my market stroll along with a bevy of gold jewelry to complete my sun-kissed look. Maxi dresses must be more of a beach side style because I have not spotted the look on anyone in Europe. Or perhaps people here have tucked their maxis away as it is fall already and my LA brain just can't comprehend the notion of having four climate distinct seasons in a year.
After Notting Hill I headed to Harrod's, London's shopping mecca and a must stop destination for any fashionista. The department store is astondingly massive and carries a great selection of contemporary and high-end UK and US brands. I was particularly intrigued by its food hall which is a quite a misnomer because it's a super fancy and ornate dining floor dedicated to purveying the finest food. There are no Sbarros or Hot Dog on a Stick here. Only in London can one delight on caviar while trying on Alexander McQueen plaid frocks!
