Winter is well on its way up here in Boston and as much as I love dresses, swimsuits and shorts I can’t say I am disappointed by the sweater styles filling the stores this season. Bulking up for the winter and wrapping up in a sweater is so last year as this year’s styles are slinky, shimmery and tastefully tailored.

Replace your going out blazer with a fur collared cardigan for a more laid-back look that dresses down a sequin party frock or can easily be worn with leggings, t-shirts and uggs for lounging.

Pair a shimmery knit with shorts, tights and booties for a winterized party outfit.

Don’t let your skin hibernate all winter, reveal some arm and shoulders with a cut-out knit.
