I don't delve into celebrity coverage on my blog, not because they don't inspire me to some degree but because I feel like there are other people already covering their style far better than I could hope to. However, this week on Fashion Magazine Style Panel we were asked to discuss our fashion icons and create an outfit inspired directly by them. Like most people probably, I have several consistent sources of inspiration (anyone following me on Pinterest could easily pick out my Miranda Kerr obsession) but the lady that I am identifying with most lately is Swedish Jill of all trades Elin Kling, who's style credibility lies in her chic simplicity. If you aren't familiar with her, she started off as a blogger and has grown into a business mogul with her own magazine, clothing collections, and styling work.

My personal style consists of basic staples, over sized pieces, and edgy accessories to create simple outfits with a twist. Dressing like Elin means slouchy tees and tanks, menswear inspired pieces, ankle boots, slim and cropped pants, denim, undone hair and natural makeup. Together these pieces can be combined into many fuss-free, day looks that I gravitate to time and time again.
How did I do with my look, and who inspires you sartorially speaking?
