How is your holiday weekend going?

I had the chance to try two restaurants that were on my “Philly Restaurants Bucket List” and they were both incredible. The first was Route 6, the newest Starr addition where I got to feast on a lobster. The second was Garces’ tapas spot in the West area of the city. It’s so fun to try new restaurants, especially when you love to eat, like me. On my date with Brian last night, we also went to see Zero Dark Thirty. I highly recommend checking it out. It was an intense three hours that left me completely in awe. Jessica Chastain definitely deserved her Golden Globe and I wouldn’t be surprised if the movie takes home some Academy Awards.

Today’s look is a nod to spring as I decided to go with a ton of color. I actually think it’s very fitting in the middle of January, when rain, fog and low temperatures can easily make me feel a little glum.

During a recent Target trip I stumbled upon this bright blue bag. It reminded me of the Proenza bags I see on many of my favorite blogs (I know, it’s a far reach, but it did…) and once the cashier scanned it, I discovered it cost even less than it was marked: $9!! Once I took it home, I realized it matches these turquoise pumps perfectly, so I have a feeling I’ll be wearing this color a lot in the next few months :)

What do you think of this look? Is it too soon to wear so much color?

Enjoy you day!
