There is just something so romantic about lace, no? It's sweet, feminine and elegant. For me, it conjures up images of ladies at tea, delicate antique gloves, and the trim around my mother's mantilla. And though it's such a delicate piece of material, I've found that it truly can be versatile when styling.

I've had this lace skirt for a couple of years, but I find that I rarely wear it because I've struggled to find the right pieces to pair with it. Do I go dressy? If I do, then I feel like I can only wear it for date nights, weddings or other special occasions. Do I try and dress it down? If I do that, then I open up the opportunity to wear it more often. And, isn't that the point anyway? To create a working wardrobe with all the pieces in your closet?

I love how this look came together! It's monotone yet has hints of color. It has that romantic vibe with the delicate scarf. It has simple elements such as a belt to add contrast, a day clutch to house basic essentials and rose gold jewelry for accent. But what I love most is the denim jacket. It's a focal point that doesn't pull focus allowing for a streamlined look that's utterly romantic.
