In Vogue: The Editor's Eye by Carina Hsieh : Lucky Community

Yesterday a few close friends and I had the pleasure of attending the premiere of the new HBO Documentary, 'In Vogue: The Editor's Eye' at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was such an amazing opportunity to see behind the scenes of Vogue and learn more about the creative visionaries behind the magazine. The documentary airs on HBO this Thursday, December 6.

Together, we spotted Grace Coddington, Hamish Bowles, Vera Wang, Christina Ricci, Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Zac Posen, Lynn Yeager, Donna Karan, Anja Rubik, Arizona Muse, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Jenna Lyons in the crowd. It was like fashion's Where's Waldo/I Spy. It was honestly SURREAL just being in the same room as all these tastemakers and influencers. I felt so little, unimportant, grateful, blessed, and just in awe at being able to be there...

(on a lighter note, if you're curious, YES, it did feel great wearing H&M for H&M in the presence of all these fashion greats...Alas, I am still living that broke college student lifestyle.)

Being in the Met after hours was incredible too--such a Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler moment, tbh. Because if the first question you ask when invited to a red carpet event featuring Vogue and the Met, isn't "Will there be LARP opportunities for me to live out my dream as the protagonist from a 1960's children's book or....?" then we probably can't be friends. I mean, really.

All in all, a wonderful experience, and I'm seriously so grateful to Vogue for the wonderful opportunity.
