“Above all, believe in true love and know that men are like shoes. A couple is like a left and a right foot, and out there is your perfect fit. Sometimes you just need to change styles and shop around to find it.” ― Camilla Morton, How to Walk in High Heels:The Girl's Guide to Everything
There are some few things to remember when pairing boots with dresses.
- Keep it simple. Do away with trendy boots or anything that is rugged. Go for a sleek and sexy ankle boots or calf boots and pair it with your little black dress. You can also pair a simple white lace above the knee dress for a more feminine and laid back look.
- Keep it balanced. Black dress, over black boots, and black leggings look too heavy. Pair dark dress with light colored boots or black ankle boots over white or beige dress. Take note that the color of your attire should also be up to two or three shades only from your shoes to accessories so you will still have a clean polished look.
- Bare legs or not. The general rule when wearing boots is the taller the boots, the higher the hemline is. If you don’t want to bare so much skin when wearing boots, throw in some leggings or stockings for some added warmth and style.
- Have fun. It is your special day with your loved one so wear something that will make you feel and look good. Ankle boots with wedge heels are comfortable to walk with so it’s nice to wear if you’re going for a stroll or a movie. Go with stiletto shoes if you want to look more sexy and fabulous.
Finding your perfect partner to spend this Valentine’s Day with is still by far more important than anything you wear. So if you think you need a little help ask your partner about what he wants you to wear and please him with your simple but beautiful self.
