I got the chance to spend this past week in NYC with so many of the bloggers I love and chat with regularly on Twitter during Lucky Magazine's Lucky FABB conference. Apart from the amazing panels and key note speakers we were also lucky enough to score lots of free gifts.

P&G Beauty had an area set up for us learn more about the products and fill up a bag with whatever we wanted to try. I had already been using the Herbal Essences mousse and got to grab some shampoo, conditioner, rinse off weekly hair treatment, heat protection spray and curl define and hold cream to add to my product collection.

I decided to give these items a try this morning and see how well they really work. I started with the shampoo, conditioner, and rinse off hair treatment. After towel drying my hair I added some of my mousse and then a medium sized amount of curl define and hold cream. I had previously only used the mousse and, while it helped hold some of my curls in place, it didn't do nearly as well as it did when I combined it with the curl cream. Before blow-drying my bangs and the crown of my head like I normally do, I added some of the heat protection spray. After giving the ends of my hair a good scrunch I let it air dry. The curls seem to be holding well and I got that beachy look to my hair with very little effort and no texturizing spray (although I did get some of that too!).
