I partnered with another fabulous south Florida blogger, Ana from Chic Streets and Eats, to bring you this fun holiday DIY project— that you can actually use any time of year. This is so simple to do an elementary school kid could (and does) do it. I always believe that presentation is part of the present, so I like to put some thought and creativity into it to make it more personal. This is such an easy and chic option for gift wrapping, with a hint of nostalgia that anyone would love. Follow along this tutorial to make your own and be sure to visit Ana’s blog to see her version. (And bookmark/follow her to see some more DIYs and chic Miami fashion!)

I laid out a good sized piece of black wrapping paper on the grass. Using a large paint brush (any size will work), I splattered some watered down white acrylic paint all over the paper, making sure to get various sized splatters everywhere.

For the gift bag, I used the same method as above but this time used sumi ink. (You can use black acrylic paint if you want.) I replaced the red ribbon handles with black ribbon to match the splatters.

Let them dry fully in the sun before taking them inside and wrapping your gifts. I used metallic silver tissue paper inside the bag, as well as a fun tinsel pom pom as decoration. The wrapping paper, gift bag, tissue paper and pom pom were all bought at Target. The ribbon is from JoAnn and the paint can be found at Michaels.
