I love creating new unique pieces for my wardrobe that can become
statement makers in their own right. This headband is one of those
items. I have always been fascinated with beadwork and when I came
across this pattern in Bead & Button for this butterfly, I knew I had to make it and somehow incorporate it into outfits.
You will need:
- Pattern: It is $3.95 to purchase the pattern
- 2, size 8 seed beads
- Size 11 seed beads: 3g of color A (I used yellow and blue for color A,
but the pattern used one color), 5g color B, 2g color C, 1g color D
- 4LB Fireline nylon beading thread
- #12 Beading Needle
- 2" wide Black Headband (I purchased mine at Target)
- Glue gun
Follow the instructions for the pattern, omitting the placement of the
pin. The pattern is for creating a brooch. Then just hot glue it to
the top of the headband. The piece looks very intricate, but I found
the pattern very easy to follow and was thrilled with the outcome.
