DIY: Betty's WIRED Dress

With clean lines and a simple silhouette, the Betty pattern from German designer Meike Bambuch is one of our all-time favorites. The hi/low style paired with an easy jersey fabric makes for a wear-everywhere-with-everything piece that you can pair with boots and a sweater jacket now and with sandals and a statement accessory (may we suggest our Cold Shoulder Chain project?) later when the temperatures start to climb again.

We think this dress is super-special not only because it's an exclusive pattern, but also because Kollabora founder Nora Abousteit made this dress herself! Using a beautiful sherbert-colored jersey fabric, Nora also created a tutorial video of her process with instructions for how she adjusted the pattern to perfectly fit her measurements, with great sewing tips you can apply to this or any future projects!

Pictures above are from Nora's shoot with Miller Mobley for the November issue of WIRED UK, and from Stated Magazine's "A Week in the Life of Nora Abousteit" feature. Needless to say, Nora and her Betty Dress have been getting some major props!
