We finally got a chance to head out to Dekalb Market, a shipping container market,in Brooklyn and we are glad we did because as of today it closes for good. A new housing development and a Century 21 department store will open in its place. Womp, womp! As of now there are no set plans to reopen the Market anywhere else. It was kind of disappointing to learn of this, as the concept of the place is pretty cool. They have local shops and food vendors set up in old shipping containers, park picnic benches for customers, local DJ's playing old school music, and a great ambiance to boot. If you are in the NYC area, go check it out before it's going...going...gone!
