I am someone who loves adding a funky accessory or colorful piece of jewelry to spice up my evening wear. I am also a firm fashion believer in the small details of an outfit that can really make or break your look. With that being said, I took a risk by incorporating three bold pieces- chunky ankle booties (a fall staple), a bright turquoise necklace, and an over-sized studded handbag, to add edge to this simple and chic evening dress. As a whole, this works because the center piece of my outfit (aka the black dress) is very minimalistic- there's not too much going on! The color palette stays in the black and neutral family which allows this turquoise necklace to enter the room and attract all eyes.
